Job Summary:

The Identity and Access Management team is looking for highly motivated individuals who can excel as part of a fast moving Agile team. This position is focused on our User Provisioning team, working on modernizing our identity management processes and technology. Working in a DevOps model, you will focus on improving Northwestern Mutual's Join-Move-Leave-Review processes, automating access requests, integrating more applications and endpoints with our central IAM solution, automating code as part of a CI/CD pipeline, and closing security gaps.


  • Java development experience - 3+ years
  • Provisioning system experience (Sailpoint, CA, NetIQ, etc) - 5+ years
  • Familiarity with Role and Attribute Based Access Controls
  • Familiarity with configuring policies and setting up SOD
  • Expert understanding of workflows and processes within a provisioning system
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information systems or equivalent field
  • 3+ years working with Active Directory and LDAP directories such as Radiant Logic, Edirectory, etc
  • 2+ years working with SSO systems such as AzureAD, Siteminder, PingFederate, etc
  • 5+ years experience in Windows, Linux/Unix infrastructure
  • 1+ years building CI/CD pipelines
  • 3+ years architecting solutions
  • CISSP or other certifications are preferred
