As a consultant you will deliver solutions to customers enabling them to achieve greater productivity form their investment in Microsoft technology. As part of the Microsoft community, you will be responsible for crafting, and deploying high quality solutions using the latest Microsoft products and technologies in demanding customer environments. Consultants also ensure customers have an understanding of the relevant application features, infrastructure, and operations implications of the solution. You will engage in effective dialog with senior-level technology decision makers to ensure the solution achieves the expected business value. Communication with your customer is important so that the technical solution meats the business need. You will continuously demonstrate your real passion for the customer through integrity and aspiring for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.


5+ years of experience in IT systems development or consulting
Ability to communicate Skype for Business and Lync product benefits and our unique service capabilities and offerings to IT and business leaders.
Ability to gather and translate customer business requirements into a use case for Microsoft Skype for Business (or other products) and drive adoption
Deep experience with designing and deploying Microsoft Universal Communications products to include either Skype for Business or Lync and Exchange Unified Messaging (UM). Products include Skype for Business 2015, Lync 2013 and Lync 2010.
Core competencies (IM/P, Conferencing, Enterprise Voice, Video and Mobility) for the Universal Communications suite including the configuration, optimization, migration and integration of 3rd party products
Industry knowledge or specific business process knowledge relative to Unified/Universal Communications
Comprehensive knowledge of VoIP and SIP protocols, keen troubleshooting ability and working knowledge of the latest diagnostic tools, log analysis and scripting ability
Deep understanding of client/server, networking and Internet technologies fundamentals
Experience in customer-facing roles with demonstrated capability in clearly presenting thoughts and ideas confidently to audiences of various sizes and technical knowledge levels.
Demonstrated aptitude for providing extraordinary customer service in politically charged environments.
Ability to adapt to the customer’s changing needs or requirements as they arise.
Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision and also as part of a global team of Consultants and Engineers
Possess real passion for continuous learning, strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, time management skills, and good judgement.
Ability to improve the technical expertise of peers via the development of product related intellectual capital and mentoring new hires.
Ability to apply knowledge to improve existing products and systems in the customer environment and for internal use.
Assist in developing strategies to gain additional business by communicating opportunities to sales teams.

Technical proficiency with Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging, SQL 2012, 2014 or higher
Additional core competencies may include planning for disaster recovery or high availability of Microsoft products
Understanding of 3rd party Unified Communications solutions and devices
Understanding of Session Border Controllers (SBC)
Understanding of DoD STIGs, application hardening and security implementation
Understanding of cloud based technologies to include Azure and Office 365 offerings
Troubleshooting at the expert level in large network environments while working with multiple layers of customer engineering, network and administrative staff
Understanding of Windows Server, Hyper-V, MS Cluster Server/Multi-vendor Cluster and SAN implementations, Active Directory, Internet Explorer, IIS, SQL, Office suite
Microsoft Skype for Business 2015, Lync 2013 or Lync 2010 certifications
Microsoft Windows 2008, Windows 2012 certifications
3rd party certifications such as Security+, CISSP, ITIL, PMP, etc.
Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems. Will consider related field (or equivalent) experience.

Travel may be required for this position. Relocation assistance may be available on a case by case basis.

Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) with Poly. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification:
This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
